The Data and Evaluation Officer will develop Program Logics for all ERCS Programs, review the current theory of change and identify up to 3 high level strategic impacts that data can be collected to highlight.


The position will support the entities in developing projects that align with the ERCS Strategic Directions and individual entity strategic plans. The position will have a close relationship with each of the entities to ensure that the development and implementation of priority areas of data and evaluation are undertaken with full understanding of the local context for each ministry.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Director of Core Support Services with the development of a program logic template and application;

  • Develop Program logics for all programs across ERCS;

  • Review the Theory of Change and identify future directions for promotion of evaluation impacts;

  • Identify up to 3 key strategic imperatives that ERCS can create robust reporting to for external promotion; and, 

  • Identify and prioritise specific projects and communicate that with ERCS entities and the ERCS Leadership Team.

This position would suit someone who is passionate about working to a high-quality evaluation framework and analysing data that will assist he growth of the organisation. You will be well averse in using data to tell a story about the programs we run and the impact these have on the community.


You will also have:

  • Tertiary qualification in research, evaluation, community services or other relevant area;

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role;

  • Experience in evaluation processes and data management and application;

  • Effective experience in social evaluation and NFP data review;

  • An ability to influence and drive successful outcomes; and, 

  • Demonstrated report writing and presentation skills

This position is part-time (0.6) with hours and days to be negotiated with the successful candidate. This role can sit in any of our offices nationally. We are a flexible workplace and would be open to discussing any work arrangement.
