Location
This role sits in our Melbourne office and there may be a requirement to travel to other offices locally and interstate occasionally.
The Safeguarding Coordinator will support the Safeguarding Director to review and enhance safeguarding practices within ERCS. They will assist in the delivery of training and development of reports to ensure compliance across all ERCS sites.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Completion of preliminary assessments/triage of case consultations;
Reviewing safeguarding policies and procedures;
Development of Safeguarding resources;
Delivering staff training and inductions;
Compiling preliminary reporting data;
Assisting in the development of online reporting process and supporting the integration across to CRM; and,
Management of the Safeguarding file system.
About You:
This position would suit a safeguarding specialist who is wanting to expand on their current experience to make a difference in the community. You will be a self-starter who thrives on developing and implementing best practice safeguarding principles within an organisation.
You will also have:
A Post Graduate qualification in social work, community development, psychology, counselling or other relevant qualification;
A Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role;
A National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check;
Experience of Safeguarding practices and policies;
Experience in designing and delivering training programs;
Experience in reporting child or adult-at-risk safety concerns;
Sound awareness of statutory reporting child safe requirements;
Sound awareness of the national child safe principles; and,
Demonstrated report writing and presentation skills.
